Hole 4 - Long

Long by name, long by nature. At over 500 yards from the white tee, you first have to negotiate the river with your drive. A high draw off the island to safety beyond is your reward. Fear of a hook into the main body of the Wharfe often leads to a push into the bunker cunningly placed on the right of the fairway.

There's also rough down the right side which encroaches quite a way out. It's only a first cut but will take a lot of distance off your shot and leave you having to clear the large greenside bunker, front right. Stay left is the best advice.
