Hole 1 - River

A great start - the long par four 'River' hole. With a slight dogleg to the right into the green and the river running the full length of its left hand side, a well positioned drive is essential. Left of centre is best and avoids the cunningly placed fairway bunker on the right.

The stream across the front of the tees is only about 50 yards away - not such a distant hazard but one that's surprisingly often found. Loosen up before you start to avoid the stiff topper!
